Type A Heading In A Google Doc

Hello Students: Today you are going to open a new Google Doc and type a Heading.  Here are the steps you’ll need to make: 1)           Sign onto your computer. 2)           Click on the Grade 3 hyperlink that will take you to the directions for this assignment. 3)          Sign into  Google Classroom  in a new tab. 5)           Open a new Google Doc . 6)           Name the Google Doc with your name. 7)           Type your name, the date and your class like this:    Mr. Almaas    Thursday, November 1, 2018    Class 3-303 8)           When you are finished, raise your hand so I can check your work. 

Join Your Google Class

Example: Welcome Students! Today we are going to get you logged in to your Google Classroom. Your username is:  19 f irst name    last initial   @ps138school.com Your password is: students19 Sign in to Classroom at  classroom.google.com . On the homepage, click  " Join" .

Student Survey

Hello Students: Today you will sign into Google Classroom and complete a short survey about yourself. Procedure:   1)        Sign in on the computers. 2)        Sign into  Google Classroom 3)        Join the 3-301 Technology 2018 class. 4) Click on the student survey posted by the teacher, which asks you to answer a series of questions about yourself. 5)        Answer the questions. 6)        Check spelling and grammar using the rubric posted  here .

Google Slides

Hello Students: Today you are going to make a slide for a class slide presentation using the photos we took in iPhoto.  Here are the steps you’ll need to make your slide: 1)           Sign onto your computer. 2)           Click on the  Google Classroom   hyperlink that will take you to the page to sign in. 3)       Sign into Google Classroom in the new tab. 4)           Open a new Slide Presentation . 5)           Name the slide presentation with your name. 6)           Choose a format for your slide. 7)           Import the photo of you.  You can find it in your Google Classroom.  Open it and download to your desktop by right clicking your mouse. 8)           Re-size your photo. 9)       In the text box below your photo, write your name and one thing you like to do. 10)       When you are finished, share your slide with me by sending it to:  stevena@ps138school.com I will assemble all your slides into one presentation.  In the next cl

The First Inhabitants of North America

Hello Students: On Monday, October 8 th , we had a day off from school to celebrate Columbus Day.  Columbus is credited with "discovering" America and yet there were people living here for thousands of years before that. Today you are gong to read about the first inhabitants of North America and answer some questions in a quiz in your Google Classroom. The first inhabitants of the Western Hemisphere were Native Americans. It is thought that they originally came from Asia (Siberia) by way of the Bering Strait about 40,000 years ago. The hunters and gatherers constantly walked south (away from the glaciers) in search of food.  One of the animals hunted were mammoths, a giant elephant-like animal They probably followed them over the land bridge shown on the map above and eventually got to what is now Canada, the United States and points south..
