Typing Club Log

Hello Students: Today you are going to continue working on your keyboard technique in Typingclub.com and start reflecting on what you’ve worked on and learned in a Typing Club Log. Click  here  to log into Typing Club using your Google username and password.. Click  here  to sign into your Google Classroom. Open the Typing Club Log in Google Classroom. List the lessons you have already completed. Now go and work in typing Club on new lessons until I ask you to stop. Go back to the Typing Club Log and fill out the lessons you worked on today and reflect on what you learned.

Copy And Paste

Hello Students: Today you are going to practice copying and pasting text from a blog onto a WORD document. Click  here  to access the Check Your Writing blog. Highlight and right click the five rules of writing. Click “copy”. Open a new blank WORD document. Click the cursor and the page, right click and click “paste” Highlight all the text and change the font to point 12. Align the text to the left. Raise your hand to show me your work. Sign into your  Google Classroom  and complete the  Copy and Paste Reflection.

Prodigy Math Game

Student Survey

Hello Students: Today you will sign into Google Classroom and complete a short survey about yourself. The First Inhabitants of North America

Hello Students: On Monday, October 8 th , we had a day off from school to celebrate Columbus Day.  Columbus is credited with "discovering" America and yet there were people living here for thousands of years before that. Today you are gong to read about the first inhabitants of North America and answer some questions in a quiz in your Google Classroom. The first inhabitants of the Western Hemisphere were Native Americans. It is thought that they originally came from Asia (Siberia) by way of the Bering Strait about 40,000 years ago. The hunters and gatherers constantly walked south (away from the glaciers) in search of food.  One of the animals hunted were mammoths, a giant elephant-like animal They probably followed them over the land bridge shown on the map above and eventually got to what is now Canada, the United States and points south..   Directions: 1) Open a new Google Doc 2) Type your name at the top of the page.  3) Using word processing software, type the paragraph in the handout exactly as you see it including errors.    4) Raise your hand and show your work to the teacher. 5) Review the paragraph and look for punctuation, capitalization, spelling, number, hyphenation, and symbol mistakes.  How can you tell where some of the mistakes are? 6) Use your word processing program to make corrections. Use keys like Backspace or Delete, the arrows, and Shift to correct the mistakes. Use the Check Your Writing chart below to make sure you didn't miss anything. 7) When you are finished, raise your hand and show your document to your teacher.  Check your Writing!
